Senior Bar Person

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20-25k per annum dependent on experience

Varied Shifts: split and straight shifts during the day, evenings and weekends.


The Role

  • Supervising the bar and taking food and drinks orders
  • Overseeing or liaising with the kitchen and restaurant
  • Cellar Management
  • Organisation of rotas, training and motivating your staff
  • Management of key performance indicators eg wastage, gross profit etc
  • Financial management including cashing up
  • Ordering & Handling Deliveries
  • Taking reservations over the telephone for both Hotel and Restaurant

Essential Qualities

  • Bags of personality and a can-do attitude
  • A dedication to service and putting the guest first
  • Front of house experience and a good understanding of how a kitchen runs
  • Knowledge of the licensing laws [Personal License Preferable but not essential
  • Ability to work under pressure
